The knob is turned from figural wood probably maple, which has been stained to a dark shade and turned with a softly rounded face and sides, finished with two simple beads on the side. The maker of this type of knob is very hard to identify Chantell Hardware 1909 catalog page 147 showed a knob which appeared to match this knob.
