H Hartford Municipal Building |
For many years Hartford's City Hall was the old State House after the state government relocated to the new State Capitol in 1878. By 1910 the city government grown to need new accommodations, and the first half of the new Municipal Building was completed in 1913. The second half half was completed in 1915. The large H doorknobs are still in use today on some doors in this landmark.
