McC  Roanoke Building

Cyrus McCormick was a pioneer in the farm equipment business, and his family invested heavily in Chicago real estate.  The Lumber Exchange/Roanoke Building on LaSalle Street was the second of two buildings using the McCormick monogram on the doorknobs.  The earlier McCormick Building has similar doorknobs with a B at the end of the monogram (P-46170).
