Knob used in the Illinois State Capitol building. Building first occupied in1877 but not completed for twenty years. The knobs may have been supplied by different makers. Two examples pictured. Note the seal insert on one has popped out. The plate shown appears to have the Russell & Erwin screwless knob attachment.
