The Woodbury County Courthouse in Sioux City IA was designed by Prairie school architects Purcell & Elmslie in partnership with local architect William Steele.  Elmslie join the firm of Adler & Sullivan in 1889 and worked with Louis Sullivan until 1909, as draftsman and ornament designer after Frank Lloyd Wright left the firm.
