The Land Title & Trust Company was by 1897 the oldest title insurance company in America.  They hired D.H. Burnham & Co. to construct a modern office building for them a block south of Philadelphia's new City Hall, with the first building completed in 1898 and using theL-11700knob. The Annex, designed by Burnham's firm with Horace Trumbauer, was completed in 1902 and used a suite of hardware including this LT doorknob.
