Knob and plate use in the Sherman House Hotel Chicago, IL.  Plate is marked S11400. Russell & Erwin ledger of special hardware identified it as made for Sherman Hotel, Chicago. Completed in 1911, it was designed by Holabird and Roche. It was demolished in the 1950's.
